When we got home this is how I found Ryan. He had played so hard he crashed on the couch. Melba stayed with him today and she said that he did not know what to do without Brady to play with him. He will start school the Tuesday after Labor Day. Everyone please say a prayer for his teacher :)
This is Quinton after his 1st day of school. He is in the 7th grade. It is nothing new to him. He is just ready for basketball season to be here.

First Day of School!!!

Sorry it has been so long since my last post. We have been busy getting ready for school. I started back last week and Brady's first day was today. He was soooo excited. He woke up at 6:00a.m., got dressed and put his back pack on. He was ready to go.

This was at school. He did not want me to walk him in or to take his picture. It is not cool!!!

I finally got him to look at me as I was walking out the door.

Watermelon

Brady wanted some watermelon for breakfast this morning. He ended up eating 1/4 of it. He loves watermelon. When he was through he had to come in and get in the bathtub. He had it from head to toe. He really gets into eating it.

Brady Tubing

This weekend Brady had a good time tubing at the lake. We could not talk Ryan into getting out there.
He was getting a little brave. No hands.

This is where Ryan spent his time, right beside Mer Mer. He is not a big lake person. He loves the pool but is not big on the lake. Don't ask me why.
Now we are real brave, riding backwards!!! He had the best time. Bud hit some big waves and he flew off. I was worried that he would not get back on but he was ready to go again. He said that was soooo fun.

Visiting with Grammy

Two Saturdays ago mom and I took the boys to see Grammy in rehab. She was so excited to see them.
Ryan was concerned about the bruise on her arm. He really checked it out. Then he wanted to know why her arm "shook" like that. Grammy thought he was soooo funny :)
He had to check out her other arm too. He wanted to make sure Grammy was OK.
Ryan really enjoyed the bar above the bed. He felt like he was at the park. He entertained everyone there. Brady was pretty quiet. He sat with mom and just kind of took everything in. We enjoyed our visit and hope that Grammy is out and about in no time at all.

Hope Melons

Good ole summer days. One way of beating the heat in the south is by diving into a slice of the good life. Look out watermelon here we come. This would make any parent proud. Brady and Ryan love to sit on the porch or patio and eat watermelon and spit seeds.

Go-Carts

We entered Quinton and Brady in drivers ed 101

Ryan is the co-pilot reading the GPS and giving directions

Final stretch, neck and neck, but experience maybe a key factor. Who will win, Roy and Ryan or Brady? Tune in to ESPN for the latest results.

Here is Brady, one of the two drivers is going the wrong direction. He must have learned how to drive from his mother.

Look at that form!!!

This makes Roy happy:) His son playing basketball, but we will have to work on the form.

I think Bud would be pleased with the form in these pictures. Brady and Ryan both have their own clubs, thanks to Bud and garage sales :)

Great form, head down, hole in one!!!!!!

Ryan the Cowboy

This is how Ryan has been choosing to dress for awhile now eventhough it is 100 degrees here. Sometimes he does wear his boots with his shorts but not very often.
He loves his new muscle shirts (or no sleeve shirts) as he calls them. Kind of like Brady calls jeans "long sleeve pants". They have a name for everything.

I looked outside the other day and say Ryan by the fence. He said that he was talking to the cows. I am not sure what he was telling them but they were sure listening. I don't know how he got them to come up to the fence but they were all there. He is my real cowboy.

My First Post

Well I guess it is time for me to join the world of blogging since all of my friends and family are all here. It is nice to be able to keep up with everyone on here.

School is almost here and the boys are ready. Brady will be in the1st grade and Ryan will be in K3. They are growing up so fast. Roy is still coaching football and basketball in Hope and I am still teaching high school Special Education in Spring Hill. We will be busy before you know it.
I will try to keep you updated with pictures of the boys and maybe even some of our animals around the house :)
